Our Space

Workplace in the center of Biel

The coworking space is located in the center of Biel, 50 m from Zentralplatz, on Oberer Quai. The river Schüss runs vis-à-vis. Right next door is the Farel Haus with a bistro and event rooms as well as a wide range of cultural activities.

We work in a spacious, bright store.
Our space offers a productive and creative atmosphere in which you can concentrate on your work and at the same time experience the city right on your doorstep.

The coworking area is divided into the following zones:

Office
Personal workstations (fixed desks) and flexible working options (flex desks) with a view of the city.

Photo studio
Is used by photographers and is also available as a creative and project space.

Basement
Shared room in the basement (former bowling alley) for meetings and video calls.

    Who we are

    COWORX was created in 2010 from a studio community in a photo studio

    Starting out as a photo studio, other people from related and other fields of activity used the space as a place to work. The studio increasingly became an office, a place to exchange ideas and an infrastructure for different ways of working. This is how coworking, which we later called /COWORX, gradually emerged.

    When the factory building was demolished, we moved the studio and coworking into a spacious store in the center of Biel. The central location was a conscious decision for us. We appreciate the quality of an easily accessible work location and the direct, lively connection to the city.

    Since then, COWORX has been a place for independent work, shared infrastructure and exchange in everyday life – grown from practical experience and still characterized by it today.
